Last Night In Oregon

Back to a computer and clean cloths, sounds pretty damn good to me. These last few days have been a little shaky as most of you reading this already know. About three days ago i woke up with a nice soothing abrasion just below my left iris... SWEET. Needless to say that put me in a emergency room for a few hours and then the optomitrist the next day. The emergency room staff did next to nothing. The optomitrist, however, had the magic touch and before i knew it my eye was good as gold. Well not quit because my vision is still a little foggy. So anyway i spent only one miserable day riding in the van with my left eye swollen shut and a bandana wrapped around my knoggin' but i was back on the bike the next day peddeling my ass off for you kids back home.
In other news the Bills won the season opener against the sad, miserable Texans. This news was was brought to me by future sports commentator Robert DeVantier who left me a slew of voice messages depecting all the exciting play by play action that i missed while on the road. Very nice job Bob, very nice.
Today sucked. That's all i should really say about that but ill go into further detail. It rained. It was cold. The wind blew like crazy. The laws of gravity ceased to exhist and i obtained no speed going downhill. Some members in the group have decided to blame me for the lack of physics and increase of natures hatred. So It's true, i'll admit, some events that unfolded today may have been my fault. I know when to own up to my mistakes. Yesterday i said some pretty harsh stuff about mother nature and her inability to hold me back. And yes, maybe i did get to the top of a very long hill and stick out my middle finger in triumph. But who wouldn't? Should i really be blammed for this pseudo blasphamy?
Other thatn that things have be great. The coast line is incredible and tomarow we roll in Claifornia. But unfortunatly the battery on this Lap-top is runnning low so i'm going to sleep.

Don't be salty
Eric

Hi Bud-

As you're coming into a more populated state and larger areas I guess your exposure to the computers might be greater. Thanks for letting me know how crappy the eye thing really was. I was already worried about you going blind!

The nature experience must have been very humbling. You're already a very nice guy, but in the spirit of the moment when you were proclaiming your superiority over nature your companions must have about had their fill. I understand their unhappiness at having to suffer through the Mother Nature strike back.

On the way home from the final BBA meeting at 10:00 PM and in the mist and rain my windshield wipers crapped out. It didn't seem too bad so I carefully continued. This too is an experience nobody needs to be in a hurry to duplicate. Called Barnard's and it's most likely covered under the warranty so I'm off to see the repair wizard at their friendly service dept on Mon. Why work when I can spend my time running around?

Miss Loki deserves a large gold medal for her vey good behavior yesterday. She was alone from 7 PM to 10:30 PM. What a good girl! No accidents and nothing torn up. If only she were smaller and didn't shed, she'd be perfect!

Thought I'd let you know I e-mailed the scented candle guy and gave him hell for poking his nose in your blog site. What a jerk to take advantage of this message area.

Love,
Mom

Hi Bud-

Checked the weather in the northern California area. I see what you mean by cold. We're 10-15 degrees warmer at night and without the damp breeze from the ocean. Hope you have the right clothes to keep warm - I haven't heard you say you don't. Nothing I could do about it anyway.

Bills are paid up to date. Just remember me when you rich and famous :-) The only thing still owed is Norene and she'll give me an amount then that'll be good too.

I'm trying to cut Loki down on the chow which works pretty good during the week. This weekend, though, she's plowing through it pretty good and barking for a refill. I guess the price of her being so good on Friday, huh?

Thought I'd just keep updating here. Sooner or later you'll be at a computer and you'll read about stuff I might forget to tell you. Besides, when (if) you call (insert guilt here) I'd rather spend the time hearing about your trip!

Love,
Mom

Eric,
Oh my Lord! The emergency room? Couldn't you have found some better sights to see?! Sorry to hear about the bad weather...But sounds like you are catching some nice scenery. And I am so glad you are being kept abreast of the Bills games. :) Although, they lost today! :(
Keep safe and keep pedaling...
Love,
Lisa
