Portland, poop and Guiness

Hey everybody. Just rolled into Portland tonight where we're stayng at a really nice house that belongs to a friend of Mikes (Mikes the organizer of the tour). Anyway they have a fire place inside and gave us spagetti for dinner so again, Eric is happy. Unfortantly someone took a big poop in there bathroom and left it there, then i went into pee and flushed the toliet and now, of course, theres poop water EVERYWHERE. Luckily i was not blamed and currently the real culprit is cleaning it. We started the tour yesterday and rode 67 miles on day one and 76 miles today. Im doing pretty okay except my shoulders and neck... their very soar... very soar. Anywho were heqaded to an English pub tonight were they supposedly pour a perfect pint of guiness. Should be exciting, tomarrow might be hell. For obvious reasons. Eric + Guiness = hard day on a bike. Last night we stayed in a campground near Mt Saint Helens but never actually saw the mountain which was a huge bumber. The campground was beutiful but there is a burning banned in affect right now so we couldn't have a fire. BUT TONIGHT! OH TONIGHT WE GET TO SLEEP INDOORS, WITH A WOOD STOVE AND SHOWERS AND FRESH FLOWING WATER AND DID I MENTION WE'RE GOING TO BE DRINKING GUINESS? I hope everyone is doing well back home. Mom give Loki a big huge for me, Norene i hope you had fun at the wedding, Jenny i hope you had a good wedding, Matt behave and don't scare the Japenese. Thats it for now. Take care.

Hey Bud-

Finally home and getting settled down after a great weekend. Jenny and Kevin's wedding was just great. I can't believe you thought to call them! I'm proud of you :-) Nate looked really good. We stayed pretty late and went to Wimpy's after. In trade for her garbage plate, Norene is cooking me eggplant parmesan tomorrow - yum! I think I got a good deal there.

Today was Jackie's birthday and Terri had a little get-together to celebrate. Dave & Maria had to get back home hoping to get their stuff done so they could relax a little bit this evening. I hope that worked for them. Bob's retail business expanded and his baking staff decreased, so he's working extra hard meeting the orders. He's in the process of training a couple of more people to bake, but they're not ready to go solo, but Lisa came. Jackie was home about 1/2 hour and was invited to go to a movie for her birthday. That's a good way to keep things on a good note - leave early. Anyway, we had a nice meal and cake. Kelly is really talking up a storm and what a pistol! It seems she'll be going the gymnastics route - she's crawling on everything, hanging on the refrig handle and doorknobs. Aye, Aye, Aye.

You'll have to tell me if you're surprised how the riding is going. Considering your activity level most of your life, I have to say I'm impressed!

Love,
Mom

Hi Bud-

Since you haven't been online in a couple of days, I'll take a chance that your time is coming.

Have a happy Doc today - winding down on things. I'm happy and I know you are too!

I came home to a note in the mailbox - will stop at the PO tomorrow and pick up your package. Got home tonight too late - hair color. There's no sense in aging if you can't improve on what you're already doing for yourself. Some day you and your friends will see the value to this.

BBA newsletters tonight - really late to be going out to be recieved before Friday, but free help gives you sub-par results.

Hope to talk to you tonight (Wed).

Love,
Mom

Eric,
Sounds like things are going well, and are quite interesting, to say the least :)
We stayed in Portland a few years ago and it was awesome.
I fell behind a couple of days, but will be checking this site more regularly.
Have fun and stay safe!
Love, Lisa and Bob
